Kevin C. Quin is a PhD student in Africana Studies at Cornell University. Broadly, his research interests include twentieth-century African American history, gender and sexuality, and visual and material culture.
He serves as an Editorial Assistant for Black Perspectives, the leading online platform for public scholarship on global black thought, history, and culture published by the African American Intellectual History Society (AAIHS). He has also published articles in Creating Knowledge: DePaul University Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Journal of Scholarship.
Kevin’s research has been generously supported by Columbia University in the Department of Religion and at the Institute for Research in African-American Studies. His work has also been supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Ronald E. McNair Scholars program, the Rebuild Foundation, and the Stony Island Arts Bank.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from DePaul University in Journalism, Communication and Media, and African and Black Diaspora Studies.
